Olga Petrashkevich

Olga Petrashkevich was born in Belarus in a musical family. She started her musical education at the age of 6 learning violin and piano. From the age of 11 Olga worked in the children’s studio of the National Opera Theater of Belarus. After studying in Minsk Glinka’s Musical College and National University Academy of Music Olga continued her education in Belgium, Gent in the class of professor Mikhail Bezverkniy (winner of Grand-Prix on Queen Elisabeth Competition in 1976), where she earned the Master Degree.
During her studies, Olga took a part in different projects such as ”Summer Opera Alden Bizen”, Chamber Orchestra of Leuven, Belgium and had tours in Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and Austria with different chamber ensembles. She was also a member of Deneise Quartet which successfully performed in many festivals and concerts including the yearly Musical Festival in Gent where the quartet was invited as the special guest of Governor of Gent.
After moving to Canada Olga continued her professional career as a teacher and performer. At the present Olga is a member of different orchestras and projects such as Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra, Scarborough Philharmonic and Kindred Spirits Orchestras.
